New grant from the Laughing Gull Foundation enables Resilience Education to expand career and reentry support in the South
Resilience Education is honored to announce a new grant from the Laughing Gull Foundation (LGF) to expand the impact of the Resilient Professional Community (RPC). This $110,000 grant, over two years, will build upon a foundational three-year grant that Laughing Gull made in 2022 to found the RPC Mentoring Program. This new grant will focus on developing private circles within the larger RPC community, offering alumni groups for Higher Education in Prison (HEP) programs, localized groups such as the Atlanta, GA area, and a private circle for LGBTQIA+ members with its own unique resources and offerings.
Resilience Education launches a new visual brand and website to showcase its holistic solution
Resilience Education has launched a new website at www.resilience-education.org, alongside an updated visual brand identity. The refreshed website showcases the breadth of programs available for justice-impacted individuals to acquire new business and financial skills in prison and post-release, plus employment solutions for organizations and senior leaders wanting to adopt fair chance hiring practices. It traces the story of the non-profit to its roots in Virginia, connecting it to its latest initiatives designed to reach current and formerly incarcerated people across the United States.
SCRAM systems donates to Resilience Education
This donation from SCRAM provides the necessary resources for Resilience Education to expand its curriculum, offering courses in personal finance, business, and entrepreneurship. Following this new collaboration between the private and non-profit sectors, Resilience Education endeavors to bring its holistic model of in-prison education and post-release support to more universities, correctional facilities, and communities.
